Summa Academy presents a new paradigm in education for the conscious development of children and families.

We’re off to an amazing year at Summa Academy! The students are forming learning relationships, our community is growing even stronger, and we’ve welcomed several new families and educators. “It’s been thrilling to see how our educators are bringing their unique talents to the classroom,” remarked founder Ba Luvmour.

Contributions are essential for supporting socio-economic diversity and creating a learning environment that promotes academic excellence through exceptional educators, small class sizes, and carefully chosen resources. We are starting an Annual Fund this year to cover the difference between what tuition and fees cover and the full cost of educating our students. Donations allow us to realize our values of:

  • establishing a strong relationship between educator and child
  • taking a flexible approach with each child
  • empowering and engaging parents
  • respecting the human needs of each child
  • recognizing the potential for greatness in all of us

We appreciate your interest in Summa’s vision for education and hope you’ll consider giving the largest part of your allocated budget for charitable contributions to Summa. If you are ready to take action, we accept online donations.  Also, Ba would gladly discuss the specifics of giving. He can be reached at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or 971-634-0310.

So far we have raised $37,500 of our $110,000 goal. Join us in raising the remainder so we can continue to provide high quality education and model our approach for others. We have named five giving levels after Portland bridges—a nod to our parent program and how every donation will help us reach our goals:

  • Tilikum Crossing – up to $24,000
  • St. Johns Bridge – up to $18,000
  • Hawthorne Bridge – up to $12,000
  • Steel Bridge – up to $6,000
  • Sellwood Bridge - up to $1,200

Summa Academy is a program of Summa Institute, which was founded in 1985 and is a non-profit organization with a 501(c)(3) IRS determination. All donations are 100% tax deductible. We are grateful for any amount you are able to contribute and for your ongoing connection to Summa.

Sincerely,
Katherine Kane, Sarah Blattler & Ba Luvmour, The Summa Fund Development Committee

Applause for our supporters at the annual Winter Fest Fundraiser.
We could not do this without the ongoing support of the community and generous donations from people who know what our vision means to this world.
