Application Process for Summa Academy

Thank you for your interest in Summa Academy. We are here to assist you throughout the application process. We are currently accepting applications for all grade levels (K-8) for the 2017-18 academic years.

Application Process:

Step 1: Attend a tour. More info here.
Step 2: Apply online.
Step 3: Summa will contact you to schedule a student visit and family interview. Diamond student visits are scheduled from 9:30am-1pm, and the family interview from 12-1pm. Sapphire, Emerald, Topaz, and Onyx student visits are scheduled for a full day with the family interview held the following day from 12-1pm.  There is a $50 non-refundable fee for all visiting students. Please note: we now require all applicants to submit a letter of recommendation from their current teacher. You can download that here.The Head of School and educator will be present at the interview to ask and answer questions. You are welcome to bring whomever you wish to the family interview.
Step 4: After your visit and interview, Summa will contact you with a decision. Acceptance is based on the visit day, family interview, teacher letter of recommendation, fit for our community, Summa‚Äôs ability to meet your student’s needs, and balancing classes by age and gender.  Summa Academy admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin, or religion.
Step 5: Once accepted, you have five (5) business days to complete and return your enrollment paperwork. Enrollment is secured when you send in the Enrollment Contract with a non-refundable $600 deposit (which is applied to your fall tuition). Once all necessary forms and fees are received, your enrollment is considered complete. If your enrollment paperwork is not received within five (5) business days, your application will become inactive and you must restart this process.
